I'm a in-house photo/video journalist and broadcaster for The University of New Mexico's Health Sciences Center. Previously I produced traditional television broadcast pieces as the multi-platform journalist for the ABC affiliate in St. Louis. Before that I produced hundreds of video segments for Gannett's USA TODAY Network using a variety of methods such as Facebook Live and Periscope; I also produced multiple short, "in the field" pieces, usually photographed and edited on a phone in the midst of doing stills and other reporting. These segments were often light hearted in nature, or designed to give you a brief feel of an event, and were published on the day in near real time. Typical examples of these are a visit to the Hatch Chile Festival and the Spaceport America Open House.
Other pieces were longer and usually involved more serious subjects, often mixing video taken from a variety of sources such as DSLRs, phones, live streams, etc., and were mostly published late in the evening after the event or during the next day. Examples of this type of reporting can be found in Bataan Memorial Death March and the Fiesta of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
